Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage

At Mini Makers, we use the Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidance to help us plan activities that encourage children’s growth and development.

This framework supports us in creating workshops that:

-Inspire creativity and imagination through open-ended art and craft experiences

-Encourage communication and language skills as children share ideas and talk about their creations

-Develop fine motor skills through cutting, sticking, painting, and building

-Support confidence and independence as children explore materials and make choices

-Promote social and emotional development through teamwork and positive interactions

Using this guidance helps us provide well-rounded, engaging sessions that nurture each child’s curiosity, confidence, and creativity.
